The bounce rate on your tile indicates that a campaign email was blocked or can't be delivered. When an email bounces, Mailchimp classifies it as either a soft or a hard bounce.
Mailchimp recognizes two types of bounces, and they are handled differently.
- Hard bounces
Hard bounces happen when an email can't be delivered. This can be caused by an invalid email address or an unexpected error during sending.
- Soft bounces
Soft bounces are recognized by the email server but are returned to the sender for a variety of reasons. This can include issues like the mailbox being full or temporarily unavailable.
To avoid bounces, reconfirm your audience and check that your contact information is up-to-date.
