What is Gross Profit?

Gross Profit is the difference in value between the revenue generated by a product or service and the cost of producing it (Cost of Sales or Goods), generally includes things such as materials, distribution costs, and labour costs.

For example, you sold a service and pulled in a revenue of £200.  However, it costs you £100 to produce this service and therefore your gross profit is £100
